The unbroken bond in my world

Image
The only bond in my world that hasn't confined me is the bond of sisterhood.   It is the one connection that has stood by me through every joy and sorrow, unwavering and steadfast.   During every moment when I felt lost, my sisters were the ones who stayed by my side and gave me strength.   In my world, the greatest blessing I have is having a loving elder sister and a younger sister standing shoulder to shoulder with me.   No matter what the world says, after my parents, the bond that will never abandon me is that of my sisters.   They amaze me every time by doing whatever is necessary to fulfill my needs at just the right time.

The excursion I went On

Image
On the 30th of September, 2024, my family and I hurriedly prepared for a trip to visit Hantana.   As we traveled, the cool breeze from the hills embraced us, and the crisp air carried a refreshing sensation as we approached the foothills of Hantana.   Holding my mother’s hand, I immersed myself in the beauty of the surroundings while joking with my younger sister, setting off on the journey with great joy and excitement alongside my family.   It was during this trip that we realized the true essence of living—feeling the wonders of nature fill our hearts with peace and happiness.   As we neared the end of our Hantana adventure, surprisingly, none of us felt any sadness or exhaustion.   I understood why: when we explore and embrace the beauty around us, we find joy that makes us forget the hardships of life. The effort seems insignificant because we are so deeply captivated by the experience.   Afterward, we returned home, filled with happiness, carrying wit...

The happiest moment of my life

Image
The happiest day of my life was the day I was selected for university. It was on that day I realized that I had triumphed over the many challenges life had thrown my way. The joy I felt was indescribable—it brought tears to my eyes, a reward for the sleepless nights and hard work I had endured. Seeing the happiness on my parents' faces, their smiles reflecting their pride, made that moment even more extraordinary. It was a moment of pure magic. That day, I not only brought pride to myself but also to my school, and that thought filled me with immense satisfaction. To add to my happiness, several of my friends also gained admission to university, which made my joy multiply beyond measure. Looking back, I hold that day close to my heart as the happiest moment of my life—a moment I will always cherish with deep love and gratitude.

THE BOOK I READ šŸ“š

Image
I am someone who dislikes picking up books. Yet, for some reason I cannot explain, I felt compelled to read this one. Perhaps as part of some whim or curiosity, I decided to read *Senkottha*, a novel by Mahinda Prasad Masimbula. That day, I read it eagerly and swiftly, for the book had truly captivated my heart. I saw Veerappuli Henaya as the hero of this story. The reason for this was his relentless effort to overcome the oppression and hardships faced by his family and children, striving to ensure their lives would be successful. The Dream in a society where traditions dictated that the Rodi caste could never aspire to certain privileges, such as worshipping at the sacred Ruwanweli Maha Seya, the countless struggles they endured became vividly clear to me. Although he could not shape his children’s lives in the way he envisioned, he was able to shatter the societal prejudices that had oppressed them for so long. The story ended on a sorrowful note, bringing tears to my eyes. However,...
